My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary on September 22, 2008......So, everyone says the first year is the hardest? Well, if our first year is any indication of our future then bring it on!.....I LOVE being married, it's the most amazing thing. It's truly a gift to share my life with my best friend. We are eachothers #1, we make decisions together, and talk about everything (the good & bad stuff)

We finally received our wedding pictures, though we are STILL waiting on our album....(our ambitious photog took on too many projects this year, apparently)

We got married in a Vintage gymnasium called Old School Square that used to belong to a high school in the 1920's....I loved the exposed wood trusses inside (they still had graffiti on them from 90 years ago...amazing) the wooden gymnasium floor, the light fixtures.....I loved everything about it! I especially loved that Tiago and I met for the first time in our high school gym in 1997, so It was like re-living that all over again. What can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic :) It took 9 months of some crazy planning. The first big purchase was my dress and the concept/theme for the wedding evolved from there. I designed everything around my dress, it was only the third one I had tried on, but fell in love with it almost instantly....So, here are some of my favorite photographs from our day..........

Who doesnt love pretty paper? I'm one of those people who cant resist a bunch of newly sharpened pencils and love letters. I miss the good old fashioned written note. Even my husband knows the importance of getting me a Christmas card or birthday card every year. It just shows you care.....and I can take a peek at your handwriting too, which I think says a lot about your personality.  ;)

I love that ellaparry's happy birthday greeting card 'looks' hand drawn. The design is so simple, yet visualy impacting enough and drawn with perfect precision.  Sometimes a little bit of color goes a long way. The minimal designs of threeredhens are beautiful. Check out her shop! Her work speaks for itself. Tuccipaperco puts a ton of detail into her stationary designs, but still manages to have that clean, simple look. 

Steppie and littlputbooks have made boring, solid colored journals a thing of the past, with bold color combinations and simple graphics. Lastly, and without a doubt the more colorful of the bunch, michelealynn and her anxious woodsman paper tags for scrapbooking. Sure to put a smile on any readers face..... :)

Lava & Stardust is one of my favorite pieces so far. These lava rocks are simple, elegant and interesting to look at. The amount of detail in them is gorgeous. The white and silver stardust beads bring in a subtle roughness that I love. These earrings are all about texture and simplicity. They are finished off with a black diamond swarovski crystal. ($22)
