Lava & Stardust

by franci 31. August 2008 16:28

Lava & Stardust is one of my favorite pieces so far. These lava rocks are simple, elegant and interesting to look at. The amount of detail in them is gorgeous. The white and silver stardust beads bring in a subtle roughness that I love. These earrings are all about texture and simplicity. They are finished off with a black diamond swarovski crystal. ($22)

Fawn & Forest

by franci 27. August 2008 08:59
Fawn and Forest is a retailer of modern baby and eco friendly children's products, but I've found some stuff on their site that is great for grown ups too! I dont even have kids and navigating through their website made me want to have a few of my own. ;) They have some great wall decals, furniture, clothing and more......The decals are my favorite!

How can you beat something that is both nice to look at and eco-friendly?! This mirror is made from recycled iron sheet packaging. If you take a close look you can see packaging from an olive oil company & a balinese soda can! Each piece is unique and CB2 also carries a cute matching serving tray. ($99.95)

Gaga over Dada!

by franci 19. August 2008 17:43
Eating out has become something of a hobby for my husband and I. We are always in search of a new great place to eat. The food, atmosphere and interior design of the place are all equally important too! This little gem of a restaurant is fabluous! Dada Restaurant in Delray beach, Florida, has an ecclectic mix of diners like poets, musicians, & artists as well as a kick-ass dining area outside. The lanterns dangling from the Banyan tree outside are romantic, the food is delicious and it won't clean out your wallet. The restaurant is a 1924 two-story house turned into a restaurant/pub. They host open-mic nights, show films, and you can even catch a show when an indie band plays. For more info and/or reservations click here!

Let there be Light.......

by franci 14. August 2008 11:48
I am ALL ABOUT chandeliers! As soon as I have a home with high enough ceilings.....lol. Lighting in a room is so important so why not have light coming from somewhere beyond fabulous? Andromedamurano.it is not only an amazing website with mouth watering photography, but their work is without a doubt, breathtaking. See for yourself....At the Gramercy Park Hotel Lobby:New York......a more traditional chandelier, at 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide, it is made out of hand-blown venetian glass.

A great and inexpensive way to spice up a room is with beautiful lighting fixtures. Wrapables.com has some great options. Some are do-it-yourself right out of the box and some are made of eco-friendly materials. They are definitely unique enough to be conversation starters! (Prices ranging from $41-$84)
